FIREWALL OVERVIEW

When you install a Logon Analyzer Server and Logon Analyzer Clients, you have to decide on two port addresses, one for the communication between your Logon Analyzer Server and your Logon Analyzer Clients, and one for communication between your Logon Analyzer Server and your Logon Analyzer Consoles (e.g. your computer) .

Logon Analyzer Consoles cannot communicate directly with Logon Analyzer Clients. All traffic aimed at Logon Analyzer Clients (messaging, forced logoffs, forced shutdown, forced restarts) will go through your Logon Analyzer Server.

Make sure that you configure the firewall on your Logon Analyzer Server so that it allows inbound and outbound IP traffic over the two ports you selected.

Also, configure the firewall on your Logon Analyzer Clients so that they allow both inbound and outbound IP traffic over the port you selected.

Lastly, configure the firewall on your Logon Analyzer Console computers so that they allow both inbound and outbound IP traffic over the port you selected.
