OVERVIEW SCENARIOS

Static, non wireless desktops. You have static, non wireless desktops in your network that are bound to a desk.

- These desktop computers can be located on your map or a live pane.
- Add workplaces to your map, and then add the desktop computers to the workplaces.
- Optionally rename the workplaces to the desktop computers they contain.
- Place the workplaces on a floor or room in your map.


Static, wireless laptops. You have static, wireless laptops in your network. They are wireless, but they are bound to a desk, which means that all your end users work on a wireless laptop, but still have their own desk.

- These laptops can be located on your map or a live pane.
- Add workplaces to your map, and then add the laptops to the workplaces.
- Optionally rename the workplaces to the desktop computers they contain.
- Place the workplaces on a floor or room in your map.


Roaming, non wireless laptops. You have roaming, non wireless laptops in your network. End users have their own laptop, but they are not bound to a desk. They can sit anywhere, but once they place their laptop on a workplace, they plug in a UTP cable to access the network.

- These computers cannot be located on your map or a live pane.
- Although these laptops cannot be located on your map, it is possible to generate accurate occupancy reports.
- In order to be able to generate occupancy reports, add the total number of workplaces to a room or floor in your map.
- Add each laptop to a workplace.
- Do not place the workplaces on your map.


Roaming, wireless laptops. You have roaming, wireless laptops in your network. End users have their own laptop, but they are not bound to a desk. They can sit anywhere, and once they place their laptop on a workplace, they connect to your network wirelessly.

- These laptops can be located on your map or a live pane.
- Add the total number of workplaces to your map.
- Do NOT add the laptops to any workplaces.
- Place the empty workplaces on your map.
- Also, place Access Points on your map.
- Walk around the floor, and take a Snapshot in each room, and on the floor. Place these snapshots on your map.
