Where are you? In the office? In which room? In large organizations, it is often difficult to find out where someone is. Logon Analyzer makes locating laptops, desktops and end users easy. You can locate the following items:
Wireless laptops. We have developed an Indoor Positioning System that works much the same way as GPS. Your wireless, roaming laptops are located by triangulation, but where GPS uses satellites to triangulate, our IPS uses the WIFI access points in your organization to triangulate and locate your laptops.
Static desktop computers. Once you have told Logon Analyzer where your desktop computers are located, Logon Analyzer can show each of them on a map.
End users. Logon Analyzer keeps track of who's logged on to which computer. Once Logon Analyzer has located a computer, be it a wireless laptop or a static desktop, the person using that computer can also be located.
How does it work?
We have tried to make our indoor positioning system as user friendly as possible. However, for our system to work, you do need to provide some information, such as the location of your WIFI access points and your workplaces.
But once you've done that, you just have to enter the name of the laptop, desktop or user you're searching for, and the physical location pops up on your screen.
